For a long time, many of Africa’s stories have been told through an outsider’s lens. We aim to make space for more local voices — and especially the women whose perspectives, knowledge and experiences are often overlooked.
Safari Sisters creates intimate journeys across Southern and Eastern Africa for women who want to experience these places beyond the obvious. We work with local guides, hosts, businesses and community projects to create journeys that feel personal, meaningful and connected to the places we visit. Wherever possible, we prioritise women — not because every experience needs to be women-led, but because we believe women should have a bigger share in the opportunities that tourism creates.
Our journeys are about more than ticking off items on your bucket list. They might take you to a family-run local business, into a kitchen run by students, to meet an all-female guiding team, or into a community where you can learn about the people and traditions that make a place unique.
We believe the best journeys stay with you long after you’ve returned home. It might be a new friendship forged over a game drive, a different perspective gained from spending time with women in a local community, or simply the feeling of watching the sun set over the Delta with nowhere else to be.
